Losing is never fun. Losing at home is even worse. Losing at home to the Oklahoma Sooners? A Longhorn’s worst nightmare.

Coming off a four-point defeat to the Sooners, the Horns are hoping to bounce back against the Cincinnati Bearcats on Saturday.

The Bearcats sit at 10-8 overall with a losing record (2-3) on the road. With a back-and-forth season, Cincinnati hopes to find some solid ground in their visit to Austin.

Texas is currently 18-3 overall and ranked No. 10 in the nation. The team is 10-2 at home, only losing to Oklahoma earlier this week and the Baylor Lady Bears in December.

How to watch Texas vs. Cincinnati:

Key matchups:

Forward Jillian Hayes currently leads the Bearcats in points (12.4), rebounds (8.3), and steals (1.1) per game. To slow her down, I imagine the Horns will enter a 2-3 zone defense so that nobody is man-marking her.

If head coach Vic Schaefer does opt for man defense, I expect forwards Madison Booker and Taylor Jones to take on the task of guarding Hayes.

I expect the Horns to start the game trying to play on their height advantage over the Bearcats. The starting five will most likely be Booker, Jones, Shaylee Gonzales, Shay Holle, and Aaliyah Moore.

The Bearcats will more likely than not stick to their usual starters as well. Hayes, Malea Williams, Destiny Thomas, Reagan Jackson, and A’riel Jackson will take the court first.

Texas injury report:

Rori Harmon is still out for the season following an ACL tear and reparative surgery.

Players Tionna Herron, Jordana Codio, and DeYona Gaston have seen limited game time. Gaston was helped off the court following a collision against a Kansas State player two weeks ago.

Cincinnati injury report:

Cincinnati had 12 different players enter the game in their win over the Oklahoma State Cowgirls on Wednesday.

With no reports coming from the program, it seems as though the entire roster is healthy for the game on Saturday.

Final score prediction: Texas 62, Cincinnati 48
