Texas football is entering a critical stretch on the recruiting trail in the 2025 class in late August with some really important decisions for top blue-chip targets in this cycle. Texas has multiple priority four and five-star recruits with decisions scheduled for late August.

The 2025 Texas football recruiting class will command headlines in the final couple of weeks amid fall camp to close out the summer

Beyond the scheduled announcements upcoming in the next couple of weeks, the Longhorns also have some possible commitments to watch for before the end of August.

Head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns currently hold commitments from 17 recruits in the 2025 class. That number of commitments for the Longhorns in the 2025 class could expand by at least a few more high-priority prospects before the season kicks off this fall.

Texas could reasonable reach the 20 commitment mark for the Longhorns in the 2025 class entering the fall if they really hit well percentage wise with their top target decisions in the next couple of weeks. If Texas knocks it out of the park on the recruiting trail through the end of August for the 2025 cycle, a fourth straight top-five-ranked class in the nation is well within reach for Sarkisian and staff.

Much of Texas's 2025 class at the key positions and with the highest-rated targets for this cycle will be defined between Aug. 21 and 30.

Here's a prediction of every commitment the Longhorns could land in the 2025 class with the upcoming decisions (including those scheduled and anticipated for the late summer in August) before the end of this month on the trail.
