Jaime Ffrench, WR

Commitment date: Aug. 30

Texas's top wide receiver target out-of-state in the 2025 class is ready to announce his decision in a battle between a majority of three schools just before the end of the month of August.

Five-star Jacksonville (FL) Mandarin wide receiver Jaime Ffrench will decide between LSU, Texas, and the Miami Hurricanes on Aug. 30. Miami has put up a big fight in this recruitment since late-July visits before the dead period, where head coach Mario Cristobal and staff threw the kitchen sink and a little bit more at Ffrench.

LSU has also had some whispers of momentum coming out of different reports from the Baton Rouge camp in the last couple of weeks after they rolled out the red carpet for Ffrench during his trip to see the Tigers on July 26.

This promises to be one of the hardest-fought battles on the recruiting trail for the Longhorns for this entire cycle to fend off big late pushes from LSU and Miami to win Ffrench's recruitment when he announces on Aug. 30.

Michael Terry III, ATH

Commitment date: TBA

The only recruit on this list who doesn't have a decision timeline that he's made public yet is the five-star San Antonio (TX) Alamo Heights athlete Michael Terry III. The No. 1 athlete recruit in the nation in the 2025 class in the 247Sports Composite and On3 Industry Ranking is expected to decide between Texas and Nebraska, with Oregon trailing in third place, in the next few weeks or at least before the end of August.

If this recruitment ultimately comes down to which school is the closest to home for Terry, the Longhorns hold the obvious advantage over Nebraska and definitely Oregon out on the west coast.
