The only 2024 recruit on this list that the Longhorns are still pursuing early this offseason is the elite five-star Saraland (AL) wide receiver and former Alabama Crimson Tide commit Ryan Williams.

After adding multiple wide receivers in the transfer portal this cycle and signing four out of high school in the 2024 class, Texas is still seeking one more priority wideout. While the numbers are getting tight with the scholarship count at wide receiver, Williams is still a clear take for the Longhorns heading into the late signing period next month.

Wide receivers coach Chris Jackson visited Williams at Saraland High School earlier this week, as Texas continues to show him how much of a priority he is in their 2024 class before the late signing day in a few weeks.

Texas will get its shot to make a big impression on Williams and swing momentum in its favor in this recruitment when he officially visits Austin next weekend. He will also visit the Auburn Tigers on the weekend of Feb. 3 before he makes a decision and signs on his birthday on Feb. 9.

Williams also visited Alabama and new head coach Kalen DeBoer officially this weekend as the Tide try to make a late push to get him to re-commit after he re-opened his recruitment last month.

It's also worth noting that the Texas A&M Aggies are making a late push with Williams, thanks to the relationship he has with new A&M WR coach (formerly at Alabama) Holmon Wiggins.

Despite the late runs from Alabama and Texas A&M with Williams, this recruitment is expected to be a battle between Texas and Auburn before he decides on Feb. 9.
