Texas's best chance at a flip target along the defensive line at the moment in the 2025 class looks to be one of the blue-chips currently committed to head coach Mike Norvell and the Florida State Seminoles late this summer. Four-star defensive tackles Myron Charles and Kevin Wynn are both on the Longhorns radar among the top out-of-state blue-chip flip targets in the trenches on the defnesive side of the ball this fall.

247Sports reported last week that "Texas remains very active in pursuit" of Charles on the recruiting trail. The highly touted four-star defensive lineman from Port Charlotte High School in Florida is reportedly planning to make a return visit to Texas for a gameday at DKR this fall. This comes after he missed a visit he was looking to take to see Texas for the late July pool party/BBQ bash last month.

I feel like there's a better shot for the Longhorns right now at flipping Charles' commitment from Florida State than they have at getting Wynn. That's mainly because there are still other big-time in-state and other out-of-state SEC schools that are actively communicating with Wynn on the recruiting trail, including the Georgia Bulldogs and South Carolina Gamecocks.

Were Charles to consider re-opening his recruitment in the near future, Texas would be one of the immediate favorites to eventually land him when it's all said and done for this cycle in 2025.

Among the top flip targets the Longhorns are looking at in and out-of-state in the 2025 class entering the fall on the recruiting trail, I think Charles is a realistic one to consider here. We'll continue to monitor his recruitment to see how the communication and visit plans for this fall progress with him and the Longhorns' coaching staff.
