Predicting Texas's next 2025 commitment after IOL John Mills
Recruiting momentum continued for Texas football and head coach Steve Sarkisian in the 2025 class on Monday. Texas landed a commitment from a big out-of-state offensive line target in the 2025 class on June 24, San Francisco (CA) St. Ignatius College Prep three-star interior offensive lineman John Mills.
Texas football looking to add more commitments to the 2025 class post-summer official visits
The big 6-foot-6 and 320-pound offensive lineman from Northern California Mills picked Texas over the Washington Huskies, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Cal Golden Bears, and Florida Gators.
Mills is the fourth offensive lineman and the 12th prospect total to commit to the Longhorns in the 2025 class following the wrap-up of official visits late last weekend. Texas is building considerable momentum on the recruiting trail in the 2025 class this summer, as the staff is looking to pick up many more commits heading into the July 4 holiday next week.
Texas could fill up most spots in the 2025 class with official visitors from June. Most official visitors for this cycle are likely to announce before their senior seasons. So, July and August will continue to be a busy time with recruiting headlines for the 2025 class for the Longhorns.
Here's a prediction of the next recruit to commit to the Longhorns in the 2025 class after Mills on June 24.
Aidan Anding, CB
Three-star Ruston (LA) cornerback Aidan Anding was one of the late-June official visitors we had on commitment watch entering last weekend. Texas continued to make waves with Anding during a successful trip to Austin from June 21-23 for his official visit.
Terry Joseph and the Longhorns have made Anding feel like a big priority for them in defensive back recruiting in the 2025 class. Anding is expected to make a decision between his top three schools, including the Arkansas Razorbacks, Miami Hurricanes, and Texas sometime in the next week.
Texas is the favorite over Miami as we approach a potential decision date that I think could be coming up this weekend, if not sooner than that.
