Predicting Texas's next commit after 5-Star QB Dia Bell

Texas picked up a big-time 2026 commitment as a bedrock for that cycle, 5-Star QB Dia Bell.

Texas entered the official visit last weekend for the elite five-star Duncanville (TX) wide receiver Dakorien Moore with the lead over the Oregon Ducks and Ohio State. A successful official visit experience for Moore and what looked like his entire family over the weekend definitely cemented Texas's lead in this recruitment.

Oregon is the only official visit remaining for Moore this summer. Unless head coach Dan Lanning, assistant Ra'Shaad Samples, and the Ducks pull off something huge with Moore during his trip to Eugene this coming weekend, I like the Longhorns' chances here.

The No. 1 wide receiver recruit in the nation in the 2025 class in the 247Sports Composite and On3 Industry Ranking is easily Texas's top priority on the offensive side of the ball for this cycle.

Sarkisian took a lot of personal time to carve out to spend with Moore and his family during his official visit last weekend. This was definitely the priority treatment to ensure that Sark got the message across that Texas is the place for Moore to play at the collegiate level.

Inside Texas' Justin Wells reports (paid content) that the combination of factors of Texas knocking it out of the park with Moore during his official visit and his desire to play in the SEC will lead him to commit to the Longhorns in the near future.
