Jordan Clay, WR

The highly touted four-star San Antonio (TX) James Madison wide receiver Jordan Clay is a recent Texas offer from the 2026 class during the Elite Camp in early June. Clay received his dream offer when the Longhorns extended it to him during the Elite Camp a few weeks ago.

Clay was not only blown away by receiving the Texas offer on June 1, but he was also blown away by the experience on campus during his Elite Camp unofficial visit. He's formed a good connection with Texas wide receivers coach Chris Jackson, and the two apparently hit it off during the Elite Camp visit.

The offer immediately vaulted Texas into the pole position for Clay early in his recruiting process. Clay already liked the idea of playing out his collegiate career at Texas while taking multiple visits to Austin before he received the offer in early June. The offer just puts that interest he and his family have in UT over the top this summer.

Now that the Longhorns have that foundation with two key skill recruits committed to the 2026 class on the offensive side of the ball early this summer, other priority targets might want to jump in. Clay has to find it appealing that he could potentially catch throws from elite quarterback talents like Lacey and Bell in the future at Texas.
