The No. 1 athlete recruit in the nation in the 2025 class in the 247Sports Composite and On3 Industry Ranking, San Antonio (TX) Alamo Heights five-star Michael Terry III remains a top priority prospect for the Longhorns on the trail this fall.

Texas hosts Terry for an unofficial gameday visit this weekend for the contest against UTSA at DKR on Sep. 14. Terry is coming off a successful unofficial visit last weekend to Lincoln to see the Nebraska Cornhuskers and head coach Matt Rhule handily defeat the Colorado Buffaloes and head coach Deion Sanders at Memorial Stadium.

OTF reports that Nebraska continues to throw everything they have at this recruitment for Terry this fall. Nebraska is reportedly pitching Terry to get immediate playing time as a wideout in the Husker offense.

Texas can swing momentum back in its favor in this recruitment with positive experience for Terry during his unofficial visit to Austin this weekend for the Longhorns-UTSA game on Saturday.

The Oregon Ducks are also still involved in this recruitment. But Nebraska continues to be the biggest competition for Texas in the race to land a commitment from Terry this fall. I still think Texas is the favorite here to win this recruitment if it keeps its foot on the gas with Terry.
