Caleb Bell, DL (Arkansas commit)

One of the many underrated defensive tackle prospects from Georgia that Baker and the Longhorns offered late this summer on the recruiting trail in the 2025 class is Alpharetta (GA) Milton three-star Caleb Bell. The Arkansas Razorbacks commitment has stayed in consistent communication with the Texas coaches in the past few weeks, since the Longhorns offered him last month.

The traction between Bell and the Longhorns on the trail early this fall has only increased in the last couple of weeks. Not only has Texas impressed Bell with their performance on the field in the trenches in the season's first two weeks for 2024, but he's also noticed the momentum they've picked up on the recruiting trail since early August.

Bell told Horns247 that it "was cool to see Texas win such a big game" with the big double-digit victory on the road in Ann Arbor over Michigan on Sep. 7.

Texas is looking to get Bell to campus for a gameday visit at DKR this fall over the next couple of months.

Joseph Mbatchou, DL (Florida commit)

If there is a recruitment to circle for the Longhorns among the top defensive tackle flip targets out-of-state in the 2025 class this fall, it should be three-star Florida Gators commit Joseph Mbatchou. the insanely athletic 6-foot-5 and 280-pound defensive lineman from Loganville (GA) Grayson High School has picked up the communication recently with the Longhorns defensive coaches.

Mbatchou is scheduled to take an unofficial visit to Texas to see the Longhorns host the UL-Monroe Warhawks at DKR in Austin on Sep. 21. He's also taken recent visits to see Florida and the Auburn Tigers for gameday trips early this fall in the SEC.

Texas was one of many big-time P4 programs that offered Mbatchou late this summer on the recruiting trail. Since early August, Mbatchou has also picked up offers from the Tennessee Volunteers, Alabama Crimson Tide, USC Trojans, LSU Tigers, and Georgia Bulldogs.
