Texas football is drawing down the activities in fall camp with a little over one week remaining before the regular season kicks off. With the season so close, Texas and head coach Steve Sarkisian are starting to focus on the game-planning and preparation phase in practice.

How does the two-deep stack up for Texas football one week before the season opener?

This weekend, the Longhorns will participate in a live-game walkthrough in preparation for the regular season opener on Aug. 31 against Colorado State at DKR. The 2024 college football season also kicks off with Week 0 action this upcoming weekend on Aug. 24.

Since this portion of fall camp in the next week or so will have a heavier emphasis on game-planning and preparation for the start of non-conference play in a couple of weeks, the depth chart has mostly been decided on each side of the ball for this upcoming season. Texas might still have some depth chart movement in the next few days of practice, but the rotations at most position groups should be set by now.

This is a deeper and more talented team for the Longhorns than 95 percent of the other P4 teams in college football entering this season. Sarkisian has to be confident with what he has in store, with this team entering the inaugural season in the SEC this fall.

We will continue our preseason and regular season preview coverage for the Longhorns and the SEC more broadly in the coming days. Here's a look at a projection of the Longhorns' two-deep depth chart entering Week 1 of the 2024 season.
