Quarterback

Starter: Quinn Ewers (RS-JR)

Backup: Arch Manning (RS-FR)

Texas boasts one of the most talented quarterbacks rooms in the nation, led by redshirt junior starter and preseason All-SEC selection Quinn Ewers and redshirt freshman backup Arch Manning. Ewers has shown complete and total command of the offense this fall camp.

Getting Ewers back for his third season as Texas's starting quarterback is one of the biggest reasons why the Longhorns are expected to be in the thick of the SEC title and College Football Playoff conversation this season.

Running back

Starter: Jaydon Blue (JR)

Backup: Tre Wisner (SO) AND Jerrick Gibson (FR)

Junior Jaydon Blue is set to take the starting duties at running back for the Longhorns this fall after the unfortunate season-ending injuries to sophomore CJ Baxter Jr. and true freshman Christian Clark.

Texas has three other scholarship running backs on the roster, two of which are expected to play a significant role in the backfield carries this fall in Tre Wisner and Jerrick Gibson.
