Ranking each Texas defensive coordinator over the last decade

For years, the Texas Longhorns struggled to consistently bring down their opponents on the field, literally.
The Horns became notorious for missed tackles from 2010 to 2019 and Chris Ash was brought onto the staff to fix that problem.
While Ash brought a “rugby-esque” style of tackling to the squad, Texas’ defense didn’t improve all that much on paper.
After just one year with the Horns, Ash was out of a job as the new head coach Steve Sarkisian was looking elsewhere for his defensive coordinator.
