Pete Kwiatkowski goes hand-in-hand with Steve Sarkisian and Texas football. Since Sark and defensive coordinator Kwiatkowski took over the program, the Horns have gone 25-14 overall with an appearance in the College Football Playoffs.
The consistent defensive coordinator alongside Jeff Choate and now Johnny Nansen, Kwiatkowsi has returned the Longhorns to a rough-and-tumble football team.
In 2023, the Horns ranked first in the Big 12 for overall defense, allowing just 18.9 points per game. Texas was second in the conference for total sacks last season with 32 quarterback take downs and 220 lost yards.
