Ranking each Texas Longhorns offensive coordinator over the last decade
By Sam Fariss
Before being poached to become the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Penn State – the same position he held with the Horns – Yurcich had a successful tenure with Texas, but it only lasted for one season.
In Yurcich’s first game with Texas, the Longhorns put up an astonishing 59 points against UT-El Paso and throughout the season averaged nearly 43 points and over 475 yards per game.
Had Yurcich stuck around with the Horns, instead of leaving for the Nittany Lions, he may have been able to climb his way farther up this ranking.
