Ranking every projected SEC starting big man ahead of the 2024-25 season
By Sam Fariss
Malik Dia could one day be usurped by freshman true center John Bol but for now, the transfer from the Belmont Bruins will most likely be Ole Miss' starting big man.
Last season for Belmont, Dia averaged nearly 17 points and 6 rebounds per game. He also added 1.2 assists, 0.8 blocks, and 0.8 steals to the Bruins' game-by-game stat sheet.
As Dia gets more comfortable in his role as a starting SEC big man, his stats will only continue to improve for the Rebels, possibly fending off Bol until the freshman's sophomore year.
