Auburn stood atop the conference for much of last season but was stunned by Mississippi State in the SEC Tournament semifinals and by Yale in the First Round of March Madness.

Head coach Bruce Pearl retained a lot of his talented players from last season but did lose a handful of athletes to the portal.

However, Pearl was able to bring in guard J.P. Pegues from Furmann and recruited freshman guard Tahaad Pettiford for Auburn's backcourt.

The Tigers will be out for revenge this year after an incredible regular season led to a fruitless postseason in both tournaments.
