The Vanderbilt Commodores were just one millimeter better than the Missouri Tigers last year and that will be true for the upcoming 2024-25 season.

While the Commodores hired James Madison’s former head coach Mark Byington to take over the program, Vanderbilt lost nine players to the transfer and due to their eligibility running out.

Luckily, Byington flexed his recruiting muscle, bringing in eight players of his own, including a handful from his former stomping grounds JMU.

Vanderbilt will look entirely different in the upcoming season but will still fall well short of glory, and Texas should easily be able to defeat the Commodores.
