Sarkisian, Texas have high expectations in the SEC in 2024

Sarkisian is leading the Longhorns into the SEC on a high mark after his squad won the Big 12 Championship and made the College Football Playoff in 2023.

With most starters returning on both sides of the ball from last year's squad, Texas is expected to contend nationally for a spot in the 12-team Playoff and for an SEC title in their first year in the conference. Sarkisian gets four returning starters along the offensive line in 2024, and rising redshirt junior quarterback Quinn Ewers.

Texas also had one of the most talented portal classes during the winter transfer window in the SEC. Sarkisian and the Longhorns have replenished the roster at multiple position groups and have a young and talented two-deep ready to challenge the top teams in the SEC this upcoming season.
