Wide receiver is one of the loaded position groups among the official visitors scheduled to be on campus at Texas in June. Among the top-rated wide receiver recruits Sarkisian and the Longhorns staff are set to host for an official visit this summer is the elite Sacshe (TX) five-star Kaliq Lockett.

The No. 2 wide receiver recruit in the nation in the 2025 class in the 247Sports Composite and On3 Industry Ranking is scheduled to officially visit Texas in late June. He will officially visit Austin after taking three other trips over the next month, including the LSU Tigers (May 31), Texas A&M Aggies (June 7), and Florida State Seminoles (June 14).

Texas gets the final official visit from the East Texas product Lockett, which is set to begin on June 21. Lockett has already been on campus once since the start of the spring. He visited Texas unofficially during spring practice on April 6.

The June 21-23 official visit will be Lockett's first return trip to Texas since the successful unofficial trip to Austin in early April.

Lockett is excited to get back to Texas to see all the coaches and other recruits and Longhorns players who have recruited him to Austin this offseason. He told Horns247 (paid content) that he's been "talking to KJ Lacey, Johntay Cook, and Elijah Barnes" recently as the Longhorns are putting the full-court press on the elite wideout recruit.

Sarkisian, wide receivers coach Chris Jackson, and running backs coach Tashard Choice have all built great relationships with Lockett. He said that he's "connected with coach Sark and coach Choice really well" throughout his recruitment.

Texas's all-out push in this recruitment has them squarely in the mix among Lockett's top schools entering summer official visits. Sarkisian and Jackson are working to land a trio of the nation's top wide receiver prospects in the 2025 class this summer, all of whom are officially visiting Texas in June.

Five-star Duncanville wide receiver Dakorien Moore recently decommitted from LSU. He'll officially visit Texas, along with the Oregon Ducks and Ohio State Buckeyes this summer before making a decision.

Texas is also in on former Alabama Crimson Tide five-star wide receiver commit from Florida, Jaime Ffrench. The Jacksonville, FL, native Ffrench is scheduled to officially visit Texas on the same weekend as Lockett, starting June 21.
