Texas baseball and head coach David Pierce have made it to the postseason for the fourth year in a row. Texas gets the three-seed in the College Station Regional, hosted by the Texas A&M Aggies, to begin its postseason journey.

This is the second straight year where the Longhorns not only aren't hosting a regional in Austin but also went 0-2 in the Big 12 Tournament. Last postseason, Texas topped the Miami Hurricanes twice to cap off an impressive three-game sweep of the Coral Gables Regional.

Texas has never played in College Station in the postseason for a regional or super regional. This could also be the first time that Texas faces Texas A&M since the College World Series in 2022.

The Longhorns' NCAA record of NCAA Tournament appearances is now up to 63. Texas also holds the NCAA record for most tournament wins (253), College World Series appearances (38), and College World Series wins (88).

The journey for Pierce and the Longhorns to return to Omaha and the College World Series for the first time since 2022 begins in just a few days.

Pierce and the Longhorns will face the two-seed in the College Station Regional, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns, in their opening game for the postseason on May 31 at 5 p.m. CT. Texas and Louisiana face each other in their first postseason contest for the second year in a row.

Last year, Texas and Louisiana opened up their postseason journey in the Coral Gables Regional. Texas topped Louisiana by a score of 4-2 before going on to defeat Miami twice to sweep the Coral Gables Regional in 2023.

If the Longhorns defeat Louisiana to open the College Station Regional, it will face the winner of one-seed Texas A&M and four-seed Grambling. The first winners' bracket game for the College Station Regional is played on June 1 at 8 p.m. CT.

A loss to Louisiana in the first game of the College Station Regional would put them in the elimination bracket against the loser of Texas A&M-Grambling on June 1 at 2 p.m. CT.

For the college baseball postseason, regionals begin on May 31 and last through June 4. Super regionals will follow just a few days after the conclusion of regionals, going from June 7-10.

The College World Series in Omaha will cap the 2024 postseason between June 14 and 24.
