A regular on the stud lists this season after Longhorns' wins during the non-conference slate is sophomore forward Dillon Mitchell. The second-year forward Mitchell had another stellar performance on both ends of the floor for the Longhorns, reeling in his fifth double-double of the sesaon in the win over Texas A&M-CC.

Mitchell was easily Texas's best player in this game. He was dominant on the boards on both ends, reeling in 13 rebounds (two offensive boards). The 13 boards Mitchell registered in this game ties a career-high.

Mitchell was also effective finishing around the basket. He registered 14 points, including five field goals on seven attempts. Mitchell got to the stripe at a high clip, knocking down 4-of-5 attempts from the stripe.

On the defensive end of the floor, Mitchell didn't put up the same stats regarding blocks and steals as he usually has this season. Mitchell registered one steal and no blocks against Texas A&M-CC.

But he contributed in ways that didn't show up in the box score stats for him individually. Mitchell's length was clearly an issue for Islanders, as they were outrebounded and shot just over 35 percent from the field.

According to Sports Reference, Mitchell now has five games with a double-double, one assist, and one steal this season. That is tied for the third-most games with such a stat line in college hoops.
