Texas DL commit Brandon Brown visiting LSU this weekend
Texas football commit and four-star Melbourne (FL) Eau Gallie defensive lineman Brandon Brown arrived in Baton Rouge for his official visit to see the LSU Tigers this weekend on May 31. While Brown has maintained in recent interviews that he is firmly committed to Texas, he still plans on taking his official visits this summer.

Brown is currently on campus for a multi-day official visit to LSU, which began on May 31. He is part of a bevy of priority Texas targets in the 2025 class who are officially visiting Baton Rouge this weekend, including five-star wide receiver Jaime Ffrench, four-star defensive lineman Zion Williams, and five-star cornerback Dorian Brew, among many others.
He's also scheduled to officially visit the Tennessee Volunteers (June 7) and Texas (June 14) this summer. Brown was originally scheduled to take his final June official visit to see the USC Trojans on the weekend of June 21.
However, it looks like there could be a change of plans for the blue-chip defensive tackle from Florida for his summer visits. On Texas Football's Bobby Burton reported on May 31 (premium content) that Brown is now looking to officially visit Coral Gables, FL, to see the Miami Hurricanes on June 21, replacing the USC official trip.
Former Texas DL coach Bo Davis has stayed very active in this recruitment for Brown since he committed to the Longhorns last December. LSU remains involved in this recruitment among a few other SEC schools, including Tennessee and the Texas A&M Aggies, who also pushed to get Brown to College Station for an official visit during that late-June weekend on the 21st.
Other in-state schools like Miami and the Florida Gators have also kept in pursuit of Brown on the recruiting trail this offseason.
