The highest-rated offer the Longhorns made during Junior Day on Jan. 20 was the highly touted four-star San Antonio (TX) Alamo Heights athlete Michael Terry III. Terry was one of the recruits on offer watch for the Longhorns entering Junior Day this weekend.

And it didn't take long for Sarkisian to extend the offer to the No. 1 athlete in the nation in the 2025 class in the 247Sports Composite and On3 Industry Ranking on Jan. 20.

Terry had a good experience in the visit where he finally received a Texas offer. He had visited Texas multiple times in the last couple of years before the Longhorns offered this weekend.

Terry told Mike Roach of 247Sports that "the coaches stood out" to him, and he could feel how genuine they were with the recruits on campus for Junior Day.

Texas and the TCU Horned Frogs are the top two in-state schools to watch in the race to land a commitment from Terry early this offseason.

Will Griffin, QB

High-four-star Tampa (FL) Jesuit 2026 quarterback Will Griffin made a highly anticipated trip to Texas for Junior Day on Jan. 20. Griffin spent a good amount of time with Sarkisian and quarterbacks coach AJ Milwee during a meeting that reportedly lasted nearly an hour long during his visit.

He likes how the Longhorns prepare for practice and games. And he's building a good relationship with Sarkisian and Milwee, despite Texas not having offered him yet.

Griffin told Horns247 after the visit that the visit surpassed his expectations, and that he can't wait to get back to the Forty Acres.
