Texas football continues to make big move in the transfer portal this week
Bond is part of a trio of portal wideouts the Longhorns have landed to reload the receiving corps early this offseason. Texas also landed the former Oregon State Beavers redshirt junior slot receiver Silas Bolden this week. The other portal wideout committed to Texas in this transfer cycle is former Houston Cougars sophomore Matthew Golden.
Texas's other two portal commits this cycle are on the defensive side of the ball. Former Clemson Tigers junior safety Andrew Mukuba and Alabama junior linebacker Kendrick Blackshire were added to shore up the defense with immediate impact players at positions of need.
Sarkisian and the Longhorns staff have continued to hit the portal hard to find immedidate impact players at positions of need on both sides of the ball this week. Texas has hosted multiple highly touted transfer targets for visits to Austin in the last couple of days.
And the staff is still active in the portal evaluating top transfer targets, which will namely be at defensive tackle after this week's portal visits conclude.
