Texas is hosting a couple of its top portal priorities on campus this weekend for visits at key positions of need. The former Clemson Tigers junior safety transfer Andrew Mukuba is the top priority at defensive back in the portal for the Longhorns.
Mukuba began his multi-day visit to Texas on Dec. 15. Texas is expected to be the final visit Mukuba takes.

He was originally scheduled to take visits to see the Oklahoma Sooners, Oregon Ducks, USC Trojans, Ole Miss Rebels, and Texas this week. But the top competition for Texas in this portal recruitment, Oklahoma and Oregon, have reportedly (per Inside Texas) "bowed out" for Mukuba heading into the weekend.
Texas can seal the deal in this portal recruitment while the Austin, TX, native and Austin LBJ High School product is on campus this weekend.

The other top portal priority who is visiting Texas this weekend is the former Houston Cougars sophomore wide receiver transfer Matthew Golden. A post on Twitter/X from Golden on the night of Dec. 15 confirmed he made it to Austin for his Texas visit.
It wouldn't surprise me to see Texas lock things up in both portal recruitments with Golden and Mukuba in the next 24 or 48 hours. Texas is in great spots for each portal target this weekend.
