After spending the last three seasons with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, fifth-year junior cornerback Kenyatta Watson II has entered the transfer portal for the second time in his collegiate career. Watson played nearly two dozen games, taking snaps on defense and special teams, over the last three seasons at Georgia Tech.

He didn't start any games on defense and took most of his live-game reps on special teams during his time in Atlanta.

Since 2021, Watson registered a dozen combined tackles and two defensive stops for the Yellow Jackets.

Watson originally transferred from Texas in the fall of 2020. He only played one game at Texas before transferring in October 2020. He committed to Georgia Tech via the transfer portal a few weeks after he left Texas in 2020.

In his two seasons at Texas, Watson registered six combined tackles, 0.5 tackles for loss, one pass breakup, and two defensive stops.

Watson was a four-star cornerback recruit from Loganville (GA) Grayson High School who signed with the Longhorns in the 2019 class. He ranked as the No. 131 prospect nationally in the 2019 class in the 247Sports Composite and the No. 16 cornerback.
