Cincinnati Bengals

After an up and down start to the 2023 season, the Bengals lost Pro Bowl quarterback Joe Burrow for the rest of the campaign due to a wrist injury he suffered in Week 10 against the Baltimore Ravens.

The Bengals fell just shy of making it to the postseason after backup quarterback Jake Browning led them to a 4-3 run in his seven starts after Burrow got injured.

While the 2023 campaign didn't go nearly as planned for the Bengals, this team still has many important pieces returning in 2024. If Burrow returns to the form he showed as a Pro Bowl selection in 2022, the Bengals should be a contender in the AFC in 2024.

But the Bengals must upgrade some of Burrow's supporting cast on offense if they want to ensure their contender status for next season. The Bengals don't have a single tight end signed to an active contract on the roster at the moment.

The wide receiver room also needs an upgrade, especially with one of their top receivers, Tee Higgins, potentially set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

The Bengals should be one of the teams in the market for a wideout in this deep receiver class for the upcoming draft. Cincy could use someone young to come in and give this offense another playmaker opposite three-time Pro Bowl selection Ja'Marr Chase.

Worthy checks many of the boxes the Bengals are assumed to be looking for from a versatile wideout who can add another dynamic skill set to this passing game with Burrow.

Worthy's ability to take the top off opposing defenses would pair well with one of the best deep-ball throwers in the NFL in Burrow. If the Bengals end up losing Higgins to free agency this offseason, they'll need another deep-threat receiver to pair with Chase. Worthy could be that guy.
