Terry Bussey, ATH (Texas A&M commit)

The No. 1 athlete recruit in the nation in the 2024 class in the Top247 and On3 Industry Ranking, Timpson (TX) five-star and Texas A&M commit Terry Bussey is back on the Longhorns' radar after the first day of the Early Signing Period. CJ Vogel of TFB Texas reported on Dec. 21 (donor content) that Texas is back in communication with Bussey after four-star Daingerfield (TX) athlete Aeryn Hampton flipped his commitment from Texas to the Alabama Crimson Tide on Dec. 20.

Sark, wide receivers coach Chris Jackson, and the Longhorns are still looking to add another impact wide receiver in the 2024 class via portal or high school recruiting. And Bussey is an elite talent who can play receiver and has already visited Texas multiple times.

Bussey officially visited Texas during the summer and included the Longhorns among his top five finalist schools before he committed to Texas A&M early in the fall. The LSU Tigers, USC Trojans, and Alabama are also expected to be factors in Bussey's recruitment heading into the late signing period.

Ryan Williams, WR (Alabama commit)

The top priority among flip targets at wide receiver for the Longhorns in the 2024 class heading into the late signing period in February is Saraland (AL) five-star and Alabama commit Ryan Williams. The No. 1 wide receiver from Alabama in the 2024 class recently reclassified down from the 2025 class.

Williams didn't sign with Alabama on the first day of the Early Signing Period on Dec. 20. He has mentioned that he plans to take all five official visits before he signs on the dotted line in February. Texas is one of the schools mentioned among the schools Williams could visit officially in the next couple of months.

Williams' teammate, four-star Saraland quarterback KJ Lacey, is committed to the Longhorns in the 2025 class.
