The highest-rated recruit the Longhorns offered at Junior Day on Jan. 20 is the No. 1 rated athlete prospect in the nation in the 247Sports Composite and On3 Industry Ranking, San Antonio (TX) Alamo Heights high-four-star Michael Terry III.

The multi-sport athlete from San Antonio was one of the recruits that many in the industry had on offer watch among the top Junior Day visitors for the Longhorns this weekend. So, it wasn't surprising to see Terry get a lot of attention from Sarkisian and staff and receive an offer promptly after starting Junior Day.

Terry stands at 6-foot-3 and 215 pounds and plays multiple positions on both sides of the ball for Alamo Heights High School, including wide receiver, running back, and defensive back. He also returns kicks and punts for Alamo Heights.

Terry is a tremendous athlete who also runs track for his high school. He ran a 10.8-second 100-meter dash and a sub 11.1-second 200-meter dash last year.

During his junior season at Alamo Heights, Terry put up some of the most eye-popping stats you'll see from any in-state 2025 prospect. He registered over 1,500 total yards from scrimmage, 20 total touchdowns, and two passing touchdowns. Terry also had a pick-six on defense in 2023.

Terry told CJ Vogel of TFB Texas/On Texas Football that Texas and the TCU Horned Frogs are two of his top schools. The Oregon Ducks have also come on strong in this recruitment in the last couple of months, and he is expected to take an unofficial trip to Eugene soon.
