No. 3 Texas football (12-1, 8-1 Big 12) and head coach Steve Sarkisian will battle head coach Kalen DeBoer and the No. 2 Washington Huskies (13-0, 9-0 PAC-12) in the College Football Playoff Semifinals game at the Allstate Sugar Bowl on Jan. 1.

The Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, LA, will be the site of the action between the Longhorns and Huskies to decide who goes to the College Football National Championship Game on Jan. 8.

No. 3 Texas football favored in the CFP Semifinals at the Sugar Bowl over No. 2 Washington

The other Playoff Semifinals game pits the No. 1 Michigan Wolverines against the No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA, on Jan. 1. The Rose Bowl is the first of the two Playoff Semifinal contests on Jan. 1, with a 4 p.m. CT kickoff time.

Sarkisian and the Longhorns get a rematch of last year's Alamo Bowl against the Huskies. Washington got the best of Sark and Texas in the Alamo Bowl last season, by a score of 27-20.

A little over 24 hours before kickoff between the Longhorns and Huskies in the Sugar Bowl, Sarkisian's squad is a 4.5-point favorite over UW (per FanDuel). Texas has remained steady as it was a 4.5-point favorite over UW with the opening betting odds.

The ESPN matchup predictor gives Texas a 68.7 percent chance of beating Washington in the CFP Semifinals at the Sugar Bowl.
