Texas football starting to trend for recent 5-Star LSU WR decommit Dakorien Moore
Moore originally committed to LSU in mid-August 2023. At the time, he committed to LSU over Texas and the Oregon Ducks.
Since he committed to LSU late last summer, three other schools have reportedly tried to chip away at his pledge to the Tigers, including the Ohio State Buckeyes, Oregon, and Texas. Moore visited each of these three schools at least one time since the start of the 2024 offseason.
Moore most recently took an unofficial visit to Texas during spring practice/for Longhorn City Limits on April 6.
With summer visits approaching, Moore hasn't locked in any dates yet for his official trips. But it sounds like he's planning to take official visits to the three aforementioned schools who remain in pursuit of his services on the recruiting trail late this spring.
Texas has been considered the trendy pick in this recruitment in the last month or so. Now that Moore has officially re-opened his recruitment before the summer visit season, the Longhorns have started to rake in the crystal balls in their favor.
Three 247Sports reporters/insiders entered crystal balls projecting Moore's commitment to Texas with moderate to high levels of confidence (six out of 10).
The No. 1 wide receiver recruit in the nation in the 2025 class in the 247Sports Composite and On3 Industry Ranking has remained the top in-state wideout priority for head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns since last offseason.
We'll hear more regarding Moore's potential decision timeline during summer official visits. It's expected that Moore wants to have his recruitment wrapped up before his senior season starts this upcoming fall.
