The tip-off time between the seven-seed Texas basketball and the two-seed Tennessee Volunteers in the Round of 32 in March Madness has been delayed until 7:25 p.m. CT. Due to late endings for the other Round of 32 games occurring on March 23, Texas and Tennessee will tip off nearly 30 minutes later than the original start time.

The Longhorns and Vols were originally set to tip off their Round of 32 matchup in the Midwest Region of the NCAA Tournament at 7 p.m. CT on March 23.

This matchup between head coach Rodney Terry and the Longhorns and former UT head coach Rick Barnes and the Vols will be broadcast live nationally on CBS. Brian Anderson, Jim Jackson, and Allie LaForce will call the Texas-Tennessee game live at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, NC, on CBS on March 23.

Texas reached the Round of 32 after a convincing and gaudy double-digit win (56-44) over the 10-seed Colorado State Rams in the Round of 64 on March 21. This is the third year in a row that the Longhorns won at least one NCAA Tournament game.

Tennessee dismantled the 15-seed Saint Peter's in the Round of 64 by a dominant score of 83-49 in Charlotte on March 21. Barnes and the Vols have won at least one tournament game also for three consecutive years.

Texas and Tennessee both advanced to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament last year. Terry and the Longhorns advanced to the Elite Eight for the first time in over a decade in the Big Dance last postseason.
