Texas Women's Basketball entered tonight's game against the Texas Tech Red Raiders searching for their first conference win of the season. After barely losing to Baylor on Saturday, they got their first conference win of the year with a 74-47 win behind Madison Booker and Aaliyah Moore's 36 combined points. Here is a game summary of tonight's win over the Red Raiders.

Texas Longhorns Women's Basketball vs. Texas Tech Lady Red Raiders: First Quarter

Senior forward Khadija Faye would open the scoring up tonight. Red Raiders Sophomore forward would tie the game up at the line with free throws. The Longhorns have dominated the boards early with six rebounds, and it's helped them grow their lead.

Texas would lead 13-6 at the first media timeout. Freshman Madison Booker would score a layup after the media timeout to increase the Longhorns' lead. The Red Raiders would get a little run going at the end of the first quarter. Longhorns would lead the Red Raiders 23-11.

Booker would go to the line to begin the third quarter and hit both free throws. Senior forward DeYona Gaston would reject the layup attempt by the Red Raiders as you could hear gasps in the arena. Booker can't miss a shot in this quarter as she increases the Longhorns lead to 22. The Longhorns would lead 51-29 at the third-quarter media timeout.

The Longhorns would score after the media timeout with a Booker two-point jump shot. Booker would make another jumper shortly after juking her defender. Moore would record a double-double tonight on an easy layup. On the other end of the floor, Moore would take a charge to get a turnover. The Longhorns would lead 61-39 after the third quarter.

Texas Longhorns Women's Basketball vs. Texas Tech Lady Red Raiders: Fourth Quarter

Gatson would score two quick baskets to start the fourth quarter. Texas Tech would call a timeout to go over their comeback attempt. Gatson would grab another rebound and score the basket. The Red Raiders are starting to hit some shots from beyond the arc, going on a 6-0 run.
