This weekend will be the first big recruiting weekend of the 2024 offseason for Texas football on the trail. Texas and head coach Steve Sarkisian are set to host over 50 visiting recruits from the 2025, 2026, and even the 2027 classes for the Junior Day festivities on Jan. 20.

The visitor list for Texas's Junior Day this weekend is absolutely loaded. There are multiple five-star recruits and over a dozen other high-four-star prospects from the 2025 and 2026 classes who will be on campus for Junior Day.

Among the biggest storylines for the Longhorns on the recruiting trail during this big visit weekend will be prospective offers handed out to emerging targets in the 2025 and 2026 classes and potential visitors on commitment watch. It is also worth watching how much Sarkisian and staff push for various recruits who have offers in the next couple of cycles during Junior Day.

Texas has a chance to continue to build the relationships with top targets in the 2025 class and find new targets at key positions for this cycle. It is also a good opportunity to build a strong foundation for the 2026 and 2027 classes among the dozens of visitors from each cycle for Junior Day.

Here's a look at the Junior Day visitors among 2025 recruits who are likely to commit to the Longhorns.

Landon Rink, DL

A very frequent visitor in Austin in the last couple of years, four-star Cypress (TX) Cy-Fair defensive lineman Landon Rink will be back on campus at Texas for Junior Day this weekend. Rink is a Texas legacy who has long been considered a Longhorns lean well before the start of this offseason.

The 6-foot-2 and 270-pound defensive lineman has picked up recent offers from the LSU Tigers, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Wisconsin Badgers, among other schools, in the last few months.

Rink unofficially visited College Station last weekend to see new head coach Mike Elko and the Texas A&M Aggies. Texas A&M and the Oklahoma Sooners are currently considered other top schools competing with the Longhorns in this recruitment early this offseason.
