The next highly anticipated announcement upcoming for the Longhorns among key targets on the trail for the 2025 class is the elite five-star Jacksonville (FL) Mandarin wide receiver Jaime Ffrench. The No. 3 wide receiver recruit in the nation in the 2025 class in the On3 Industry Ranking will announce on Friday afternoon.

Ffrench is set to decide between the Longhorns, Miami Hurricanes, LSU Tigers, and Tennessee Volunteers on Aug. 30. Texas remains the trendy pick in this recruitment over Miami and LSU a couple of days before Ffrench's decision date.

If Texas is able to secure a commitment from Ffrench entering Labor Day weekend in a couple of days, he will be the second five-star wide receiver to commit to the Longhorns in the 2025 class, joining Sachse's (TX) Kaliq Lockett.

Michael Terry III, ATH

Texas is all-in for the No. 1 athlete recruit in the nation in the 2025 class in the 247Sports Composite and On3 Industry Ranking, San Antonio (TX) Alamo Heights five-star Michael Terry III. OTF's Gerry Hamilton reported on Aug. 27 that Texas continues to lead for Terry ahead of the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Oregon Ducks.

We've been expecting a decision timeline announcement that is made public by Terry for a few weeks now. It still sounds like he is looking to shut things down for his recruitment at some point in the next couple of months (likely September or October).

Terry is looking at visits to all three of his finalist schools for gameday trips this fall.
