15. . . . Kentucky. . Week 2 Result: 31-6 loss vs. South Carolina. 528. . 1-1 (0-1 SEC)

Last week: 11 (-4)

South Carolina's 25-point upset victory in Lexington over head coach Mark Stoops and the Wildcats was one of the biggest surprises in the SEC in Week 2. Kentucky starting quarterback Brock Vandagriff completed just three passing attempts for 30 yards, no touchdowns, and one interception against a stifling effort from South Carolina's defense.

Things could go from bad to worse for the Wildcats, with the No. 1 ranked Georgia Bulldogs coming to town in Week 3 after the double-digit loss to the Gamecocks.

. 1-1 (0-0 SEC). Week 2 Result: 14-7 loss vs. Cal. . Auburn. . . . 14. 525

Last week: 10 (-4)

Sep. 7 was a day to forget for the Auburn Tigers and quarterback Payton Thorne. Auburn's starting quarterback threw a whopping four interceptions in a 14-7 loss at home to the Cal Golden Bears.

Falling short of what is expected to be a lower-tier ACC team in Cal at home in Week 2 of non-conference play is a massive letdown for head coach Hugh Freeze and the Tigers.

13. . Florida. . . 1-1 (0-0 SEC). 526. . Week 2 Result: 45-7 win vs. Samford.

Last week: 14 (+1)

The DJ Lagway era at QB kicked off for the Florida Gators and head coach Billy Napier last weekend, where the talented true freshman threw for over 450 yards and three scores. While that coming against an FCS opponent in Samford is nothing to truly write home about, it gives Napier and the Gators something to build confidence from for the rest of the season.

Florida has a big game to open SEC play this weekend, hosting the Texas A&M Aggies at home in the Swamp in Gainesville. This matchup against a stout Texas A&M defense will be Lagway's first big test as Florida's starting quarterback.

Vandy. . . . 537. 2-0 (0-0 SEC). Week 2 Result: 55-10 win vs. Alcorn State. . 12.

Last week: 15 (+3)

Diego Pavia appears to be the real deal at quarterback for the Vanderbilt Commodores. He's led a Vanderbilt scoring offense that ranks 17th nationally, averaging nearly 45 points per game after the seaosn's first two weeks.

Facing a Georgia State squad on the road in Week 3, head coach Clark Lea will look to lead Vanderbilt to a 3-0 record for the first time since 2017.
