Kentucky's defense has been a stone wall against the ground game for Georgia and Ole Miss in its past couple of games in the SEC this season. The Wildcats held Ole Miss to under 100 rushing yards and around three yards per carry, while holding off the Rebels on the missed last-minute potential game-tying field goal to escape Oxford with a huge upset victory in Week 5.

Last week: 7 (+1)

The No. 13 LSU Tigers finally put together a complete and convincing victory performance out on the field this weekend in a five-score win over the South Alabama Jaguars in Baton Rouge. Standout quarterback Garrett Nussmeier had another big day passing the football, registering over 400 yards and two scores in Week 5.

LSU gets a bye week next weekend before hosting Ole Miss in a critical SEC matchup at Tiger Stadium on Oct. 12.

Last week: 6 (+1)

Mizzou should be well-rested and prepared for their biggest test of the regular season so far on Oct. 5 against Texas A&M on the road in College Station, coming out of their bye week this weekend.

4. Georgia. . 3-1 (1-1 SEC). . . Week 5 Result: 41-34 loss @ Alabama. . . 527

Last week: 4 (--)

Georgia nearly came up in one of the classic games in recent memory in college football in a one-score loss to Alabama in Tuscaloosa on Saturday night. Head coach Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs survived Alabama's high-powered offense that scored touchdowns on four early drives to pull ahead 28-0 in the first half.

Giving up nearly 550 total yards of offense to the Tide's high-powered attack and four costly turnovers were too much for the Dawgs to deal with in a 41-34 loss in Tuscaloosa.
