Texas drops one spot in this week's power rankings, partially due to a sluggish start to the first half against a scrappy Mississippi State squad in the SEC opener at DKR on Saturday afternoon. Redshirt freshman quarterback Arch Manning won Texas's first SEC game in his second straight start this weekend, throwing for over 300 yards and three total touchdowns with no turnovers.

The Longhorns are off in Week 6, before the Red River Rivalry game on Oct. 12 at the Cotton Bowl at the Texas State Fairgrounds in Dallas against the Sooners.

Alabama and first-year head coach Kalen DeBoer survived a crazy comeback from Georgia at home in Week 5 to move up to No. 1 in this week's AP Poll. True freshman 17-year-old wide receiver Williams is a legit superstar for the Tide offense.

Quarterback Jalen Milroe continued to bolster his Heisman campaign with a solid performance with nearly 500 total yards of offense accounted for in the win over Georgia. Milroe is the odds-on Heisman favorite coming out of Week 5 (according to FanDuel).
