The craziest weekend of chaos around the SEC football landscape so far this season in Week 6 saw multiple upsets for top-25 ranked teams against unranked foes. As part of the chaos around the college football landscape, more specifically in the SEC last weekend, the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide and No. 4 Tennessee Volunteers fell to unranked foes in conference play.

Huge shakeups in most tiers of the SEC football power rankings following a very chaotic Week 6 filled with upsets by unranked teams

Most of the stability for the SEC power rankings entering Week 7 of the regular season came from teams on bye weeks last weekend. Thanks to a combination of bye weeks and decent performances in conference play in Week 6, the bottom tier of teams in the SEC power rankings didn't budge much.

The Mississippi State Bulldogs and first-year head coach Jeff Lebby maintain the bottom spot in this week's SEC power rankings. After facing No. 1 Texas football in Week 5, Mississippi State gets another tough challenge on the road in Week 7 against the No. 4 Georgia Bulldogs.

Mississippi State only has one game remaining against an unranked foe in the SEC, and that comes against an Arkansas Razorbacks squad that just upset Tennessee in Fayetteville last weekend.
