Kentucky. 3-2 (1-2 SEC). . Week 6 Result: BYE. . . . 528. . 7

Last week: 7 (--)

Kentucky got the bye week last weekend to prepare for what is now a much tougher opponent making its way to Lexington to face the Wildcats this coming Saturday in Vandy. If Kentucky takes care of business against a Vanderbilt team that just beat No. 1 in Week 6, it would be three straight for Stoops and the Wildcats in the right side of the win column.

. . . 534. . . 4-1 (1-1 SEC). Week 6 Result: 19-14 loss @ Arkansas. 6. Tennessee

Last week: 3 (-3)

Despite a pretty good game on the ground from standout running back Dylan Sampson, Tennessee's offense struggled against Arkansas' defense on the road in Fayetteville last weekend, scoring just 14 points in a five-point upset for the Vols. Tennessee freshman quarterback Nico Iamaleava has struggled for the Vols pass game on the road for two games in a row.

The good news for head coach Josh Heupel and the Vols is that they return home to Knoxville this upcoming weekend to host Florida in a rivalry game to try and bounce back with a win.

. . LSU. Week 6 Result: BYE. . 4-1 (1-0 SEC). 529. . 5.

Last week: 6 (+1)

Coming out of the bye week, head coach Brian Kelly and LSU hosts Ole Miss and head coach Lane Kiffin in a game in the SEC with College Football Playoff implications at Death Valley in Baton Rouge this Saturday.

It should be interesting to watch standout quarterback Garrett Nussmeier and the No. 2 offense in terms of adjusted offensive efficiency (per BCF Toys) against the stout Ole Miss defense this weekend.

Week 6 Result: 40-35 loss @ Vanderbilt. . . 4-1 (1-1 SEC). . . 4. . 523. Alabama

Last week: 1 (-3)

Alabama falls from the No. 1 spot in last week's SEC power rankings to No. 4 entering Week 7 of the 2024 season. First-year head coach Kalen DeBoer's team couldn't shake off a lingering hangover from the hard-fought win over No. 2 Georgia against a perserverant Vandy team in Week 6.

The Tide have a chance to get back on the right track this weekend against South Carolina at home at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa.
