What other elite recruits can Texas flip after Josiah Sharma?

Can Texas flip more elite blue-chip 2025 recruits entering the fall, after getting 4-Star DL Josiah Sharma to flip his pledge from Oregon two days ago?

Lamont Rogers, OT (Mizzou commit)

High-four-star Mesquite (TX) Horn offensive tackle Lamont Rogers was one of a handful of in-state blue-chip offensive linemen who officially visited the Longhorns during one of the big visit weekends in mid-to-late June.

Offensive line coach/offensive coordinator Kyle Flood and the Longhorns liked what the 6-foot-6 and 315-pound offensive tackle from the DFW Metroplex Rogers brought in terms of skill set and his lofty frame. But other schools wound up pushing harder for Rogers' commitment when he announced earlier this summer than the Longhorns.

Rogers' decision appeared to come down to the Mizzou Tigers (which he eventually announced for in early July) and Texas A&M Aggies. He also officially visited Texas and the Oklahoma Sooners this summer.

There has still been some discussion of whether Texas will push harder to try and flip Rogers from Mizzou during this fall. There's no doubt that Rogers is one of the elite offensive tackle recruits who have the highest ceilings in-state in the 2025 class.

I think whether Texas decides to push for Rogers this fall and before signing day will come down to what happens with their other key offensive tackle recruitments in the 2025 class late this summer. If Texas is able to land one or both of four-star Iowa offensive tackle Nick Brooks and five-star in-state offensive tackle Michael Fasusi when they announce in the next couple of months, that probably eliminates the possibility of them continuing to pursue Rogers on the recruiting trail this fall.
