Well, that game sure was one of the more disappointing games in quite a while.

After suffering the upset loss to the unranked Oklahoma Sooners, who entered the game 2-2 overall, the Texas Longhorns are no longer undefeated, and they will undeniably have a not-so-graceful fall from the No. 1 ranking.

As the Horns couldn't even get past an unranked OU squad, the No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs defeated the No. 6 Alabama Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa, the No. 3 Notre Dame Fighting Irish blew past the Stanford Cardinal, the Ohio State Buckeyes clobbered Maryland, and the No. 7 Indiana Hoosiers even escaped their near-upset loss to Nebraska.

Sure, No. 10 LSU also lost to an unranked Kentucky team in what wasn't a rivalry matchup, No. 13 Oregon was defeated by No. 21 UCLA, No. 16 Florida was upset by South Carolina, and even unranked North Carolina pulled off the win over No. 25 Pitt.

So, it wasn't exactly the most clear-cut Saturday of the season so far, and there will undeniably be a lot of shakeup in the rankings. However, just how far will the Longhorns fall in the AP Top 25 Poll?

Predicting the AP Top 25 Poll after upsets galore in Week 6

Here is where the rankings start to get messy. While Texas lost to an unranked Oklahoma, the Horns beat the Ohio State Buckeyes just a few weeks ago, so how could you theoretically drop them any lower than No. 4 without inexplicably dropping the Buckeyes a few spots as well?

So, no matter how deserving or undeserving they are, don't be surprised if the now 4-1 Longhorns only drop a few spots and remain in the top five.

  1. Georgia Bulldogs, 6-0
  2. Notre Dame Fighting Irish, 6-0
  3. Miami Hurricanes, 5-0 (didn't play)
  4. Texas Longhorns, 4-1
  5. Ohio State Buckeyes, 5-1
  6. BYU Cougars, 5-0
  7. Indiana Hoosiers, 6-0
  8. Ole Miss Rebels, 4-1 (didn't play)
  9. Alabama Crimson Tide, 5-1
  10. Texas Tech Red Raiders, 5-0 (didn't play)
  11. Utah Utes, 5-0
  12. Missouri Tigers, 5-1
  13. Tennessee Volunteers, 5-1
  14. Mississippi State Bulldogs, 4-1 (didn't play)
  15. Oklahoma State, 4-1
  16. LSU Tigers, 4-2
  17. UCLA Bruins, 5-0
  18. Iowa Hawkeyes, 5-1
  19. Kentucky Wildcats, 5-1
  20. Oregon Ducks, 3-2
  21. USC Trojans, 6-1
  22. Florida Gators, 4-2
  23. Houston Cougars, 5-1
  24. Boise State Broncos, 5-1
  25. SMU Mustangs, 4-1 (didn't play)

Meanwhile, the Crimson Tide and LSU will both suffer their subsequent falls from the top 10, but will remain within the top 20. The Ducks, now with two losses to their name, will fall to No. 20, clinging to their previous win over USC for their ranking.

Similarly, the Gators are going to have to right their quickly sinking ship, or Florida will see itself back outside fo the top 25 before we know it.

Kentucky will undoubtedly be the newcomer to the poll this week after sticking with Alabama in their matchup earlier this season, defeating the then-No. 9 Texas A&M Aggies, and most recently toppling the then-No. 10 Tigers.

In other words, this week's poll is going to be a mess, and the Horns now have to rely on their earlier wins over ranked teams, Ohio State and Tennessee, to remain one of the top contenders.
