One of Texas's top in-state wide receiver priorities in the 2026 class is the highly touted Aledo (TX) four-star Kaydon Finley. Texas appears to be the pace setter early in Finley's recruitment.

Kaydon is the son of former star Texas tight end and lifetime Longhorn Jermichael Finley. The family ties to the University of Texas puts the Longhorns in an advantageous spot early in his recruitment.

Since last fall, Jackson and a handful of other Texas coaches have taken multiple visits to Aledo High School to see Finley.

Finley is expected to join Hola for Texas's first Junior Day of the offseason next weekend.

The ability for the Longhorns to keep Finley in-state in their 2026 class really hinges on how much they keep their foot on the gas in his recruitment. Finley has visited Texas more than any other school since the start of the 2023 offseason. He's also made multiple gameday trips to Texas in the past two campaigns.

The other schools Finley has visited unofficially since last offseason that he is interested in are the Arizona State Sun Devils, Notre Dame, Ole Miss Rebels, and SMU Mustangs, among a few other P4 programs.
