Tacario Davis, CB (Arizona)
Arizona Wildcats junior cornerback Tacario Davis is one of the top NFL Draft prospects available in the transfer portal. Davis, an All-Big 12 selection in 2024, is a rare corner talent who has tremendous ball skills and great size and length at 6-foot-4.
Davis was also a Thorpe Award semifinalist and won the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week once in 2024.
During his career at Arizona, Davis registered 76 combined tackles, three tackles for loss, one interception, 22 pass breakups, one fumble recovery, and 19 defensive stops.
Davis broke onto the scene for Arizona in the 2023 season, registering a conference-leading 15 pass breakups and an 85.9 PFF coverage grade. He earned AP Pac-12 Second-Team honors for the 2023 season.
On3's Pete Nakos confirmed on Dec. 11 that Davis has officially entered the transfer portal. This is the second time Davis has entered the transfer portal in as many offseasons.
Davis entered the transfer portal last offseason, but ultimately returned to Arizona for the Wildcats' first season in the Big 12 this fall.
The Longhorns targeted Davis when he entered the portal last offseason after spring ball when Texas hired Nansen away from Arizona to replace Jeff Choate on the defensive coaching staff.
The connection between Nansen and Davis could be relevant to his portal recruitment if he elects to forego declaring early for the NFL Draft next spring.
