Predicting Texas's next commit after DL Justus Terry
For the first time in the modern era of recruiting rankings, Texas football has the No. 1 ranked recruiting class in the nation for the 2025 cycle in the 247Sports Composite.
Candidates to be the next 2025 or 2026 recruit to commit to Texas football after signing day
Late on Friday morning (Dec. 6), Texas landed a huge commitment along the defensive line in the 2025 class from the elite five-star Manchester (GA) defensive tackle Justus Terry. The No. 2 defensive line recruit in the nation in the 2025 class in the 247Sports Composite and On3 Industry Ranking committed to the Longhorns over the Auburn Tigers, Georgia Bulldogs, and Alabama Crimson Tide.
Head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns finished up with 25 commitments in the 2025 class as of the final day of the Early Signing Period on Dec. 6. All 25 Texas commitments in this class signed early, and many of them plan to enroll early to compete in spring ball for the Longhorns.
Texas's 2025 recruiting class was pretty far and away ranked No. 1 in the nation for this cycle, according to multiple major recruiting services in the online industry. The On3 Industry Ranking and Rivals team rankings also ranked the Longhorns' 2025 class No. 1 in the nation.
Here's a prediction of the next recruit to commit to the Longhorns after Terry on the final day of the Early Signing Period on Dec. 6.
Madden Williams, WR
Texas has quickly climbed the list of top schools for the highly touted four-star Bellflower (CA) St. John Bosco 2026 wide receiver Madden Williams on the trail this fall. Williams is one of the top out-of-state wide receiver targets for Chris Jackson and the Longhorns ins the 2026 class.
Williams included Texas among his top six finalist schools that were announced on social media on Dec. 3. He also included the Arizona State Sun Devils, Ohio State Buckeyes, Oregon Ducks, Penn State Nittany Lions, and Texas A&M Aggies among his finalist schools.
It sounds like an unofficial visit to Texas is in the cards in the near future for Williams, likely next spring either for Junior Day or during spring practice in March or April.
