Jamarion Vincent, CB

Four-star 2026 Waco (TX) Connally cornerback Jamarion Vincent is one of the top in-state priority defensive back recruits for the next cycle on the trail. Texas made the cut for Vincent's finalist schools for his top six a couple of weeks ago.

Vincent named the Baylor Bears, Kansas State Wildcats, TCU Horned Frogs, Texas Tech Red Raiders, Houston Cougars, and Texas among his six finalist schools this fall on the trail.

Texas likes the length and ball skills that the talented 6-foot-2 and 165-pound Vincent brings to the corner position in the secondary.

Vincent has also visited Texas unofficially more than any other school since the start of last offseason.

Texas has formed a recruiting pipeline from Connally High School in the past few cycles. The Longhorns have three former Connally Cadets players on the current roster, including sophomore running back Quintrevion Wisner, true freshman cornerback Kobe Black, and sophomore safety Jelani McDonald.

The connections Texas has in this recruitment, with multiple former Connally High School teammates on the Longhorns team for Vincent, and the level of talent recruiting and development in the secondary in the past few years under Terry Joseph and Blake Gideon gives UT a compelling case.

If a favorite school had to be named in Vincent's recruitment late this fall, Texas wouldn't be a bad choice. He checks too many boxes in terms of what Texas is looking for from an in-state cornerback recruit to play in Pete Kwiatkowski's defense in one-on-one man coverage on the outside.
