Texas football recruiting continues to pick up one-time Florida State Seminoles commitments to load up at key position groups in the 2025 recruiting class this fall. On Thursday evening, Texas flipped the highly touted four-star Lucas (TX) Lovejoy wide receiver Daylan McCutcheon from Florida State.

Quest for more flips continues for Texas football in the 2025 class

McCutcheon joins five-stars Kaliq Lockett and Jaime Ffrench as the third wideout commit in an elite 2025 wide receiver recruiting class for the Longhorns. All three Texas wide receiver commits in the 2025 class gave their pledges to the Longhorns since August.

Texas and head coach Steve Sarkisian have landed multiple former Florida State commitments in the 2025 class this fall on the trail. The Longhorns already have two ex-Florida State commits in the boat in their 2025 class from the past couple of months, and it looks like more could be on the way.

McCutcheon and four-star Port Charlotte (FL) defensive lineman Myron Charles are the two one-time FSU commits that the Longhorns have flipped this fall in the 2025 class.

Here's a prediction of the next 2025 recruit the Longhorns can flip from another P5 school on the trail after getting McCutcheon in the boat for this cycle on Oct. 10.

Kevin Wynn, DL (Florida State commit)

Texas is heavily pursuing two other current or former Florida State commitments in the 2025 class this fall after adding McCutcheon and Charles since the start of the month of September on the recruiting trail.

High-four-star Cocoa (FL) edge rusher Javion Hilson and four-star FSU defensive line commit Kevin Wynn are top priorities for the Longhorns out-of-state on the defensive side of the ball for this cycle before signing day in a couple of months in early December.

While Wynn remains verbally committed to Florida State, he's exploring other options this fall before signing day in December. Wynn has interest from the Georgia Bulldogs, Clemson Tigers, USC Trojans, South Carolina Gamecocks, and the Longhorns this fall.

Last weekend, Wynn visited Tallahassee unofficially for a gameday trip to see Florida State host the Clemson Tigers on Oct. 5. He's also slated to visit USC this weekend unofficially and then Texas next weekend for the highly anticipated matchup at DKR against Georgia in primetime in Austin on Oct. 19.

That Georgia game visit will be a really important marker for the Longhorns to move the needle and make a big impression on Wynn and his family.
