Ryan Wingo
After a productive true freshman campaign for the Longhorns, to-be sophomore Ryan Wingo will be Texas's top returning wide receiver for the 2025 season. The departures of Golden, Bond, and Helm mean that Wingo is Texas's most productive returning pass-catcher this year.
That said, Wingo still had some inconsistencies that prevented him from having a true breakout 2024 campaign for the Longhorns. Wingo registered 29 catches for 472 receiving yards (16.3 yards per catch) and two touchdown catches. He also had five rushes for 100 yards.
When Wingo committed to the Longhorns in the 2024 class, he was the highest-rated wide receiver recruit Texas had landed in over a decade. Wingo's promised future as a dynamic pass-catcher for Texas's offense, and catching balls from Arch, will be fulfilled next fall.
Wingo has the talent to be a wide receiver with the star power of the likes of Ohio State's Jeremiah Smith and Alabama's Ryan Williams. If he can take a big step forward this offseason, as he's expected entering his sophomore campaign next fall, the sky is truly the limit for Wingo in this offense.
Manning and Wingo showed their special connection on offense in two games during the regular season. Those two connected four times for over 150 receiving yards and two touchdowns in wins over UTSA and UL-Monroe in non-conference play this past season.
