Quinn Ewers hasn't been quite himself over the last month or so of the Texas Longhorns' season. Despite an impressive performance against the Clemson Tigers in the first round of the College Football Playoffs, concerns about Ewers' overall health have remained prominent.

However, on Monday, Dec. 30, just two days before Texas' quarter-final matchup against the Arizona State Sun Devils, Ewers shared a promising update on his physical health.

Throughout the season, Ewers has struggled with an oblique strain as well as an injured ankle and had to miss a few games during the regular season. In the postseason, head coach Steve Sarkisian has stuck with Ewers as his go-to guy at the quarterback position.

On Monday, Ewers said that he's feeling "a lot better" ahead of the Horns' second-round game on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2024.

"Not having that time off to completely let it heal was definitely a struggle," Ewers said. "I'm feeling a whole lot better than I did back then."

Throughout the season, Ewers' running ability decreased as the ankle injury continued to go downhill. The Texas quarterback kept the ball for 46 rush attempts and earned an abysmal -65 yards on the ground. However, Ewers earned an impressive 2,867 yards through the air for 26 touchdowns while also throwing 10 interceptions.

Ewers and the Longhorns are set to take on the Sun Devils in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl at the Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, GA. The game is set to kick off at noon CT and will be broadcast on ESPN.
